What is TMS (Magstim) Therapy?
Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) is a non-invasive treatment that uses magnetic pulses to stimulate nerve cells in the brain. TMS is primarily treatment for Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) and Obsessive Compulsive Disor-der (OCD). TMS includes placing a coil around your head and sending magnetic pulses to stimulate brain areas involved in MDD and OCD. Most insurance plans cover TMS for Treatment-Resistant Depression (TRD).
