Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) is a non-invasive treatment that uses magnetic pulses to stimulate nerve cells in the brain. TMS is primarily used for treatment of Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) and Obsessive Compulsive Disor-der (OCD). TMS includes placing a coil around your head and sending magnetic pulses to stimulate brain areas involved in MDD and OCD. TMS is approved and covered by most insurances for Treatment Resistant Depression (TRD). The initial assessment will include talking to your provider and determining the need for TMS treatment. Your provide will ensure TMS is safe treatment for you and discuss al-ternative options. If there are no contraindications, we will schedule you for TMS treatment. We will discuss with you the length of treatment and will closely moni-tor your progress. We provide patients with Magstim TMS and utilize the revolu-tionary technology.
